Billy IdolI just caught a new Billy Idol video on VH1 called 'Scream'. Not only does he look EXACTLY the same as he did in 1986, but the song also sounds exactly like it could've come out in 86. I'm still debating (with the current state of music being what it is) if this is a good thing, or a bad thing...

More on the Incredible Hulk TieSo, apparently this is normal when he knows that he's going to be involved in a floor fight. My favorite quote: "'When I see the Hulk tie on Ted Stevens, I know he's pumped up,' said Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist" Apparentl he also wears a Taz tie when he plans to lose his temper. Very weird. I think we need to talk Jim McDermott into doing his own weird quirky thing. God knows, if I'm ever a politically invulnerable politician, I'll make it my habit to wear multi-color canvas Converse All-Stars with my suits.

How far they fall...I just caught the tail end of a Duran Duran performance on Northwest Man, it's kinda like the 1980's were 15 years ago, or something...

Bill O'ReillyRight now I'm having some serious 1980's deja vu. Bill O'Reilly is talking with a Catholic Bishop in Italy about the rising problems caused by Satanism in Italy. Bill just said (on a "serious" news channel, none the less) "Satan is real. Satan is a being". I'm not sure what to make of any of this. The Bishop just brought up a "Satanic Heavy Metal band" who committed Satanic murders. Makes me think of a pamphlet that my parents left out for me to find when I was a kid, which detailed the evils of Heavy Metal (bands mentioned in particular: WASP, Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc - I can just imagine the same pamphlet now, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie...).Would any other news channel spend 5 minutes on this? I can see radio talk shows spending an hour on it, but it has no place on any thing except maybe the 700 Club on TBN. CNN or MSNBC wouldn't even think about talking about this. Oh, and now he's up in arms because CNN is going to start airing ads for booze (after 9:00pm, of course). His shaky pathetic fake morality is getting more and more transparent.
