The Infamous Hulk Tie 

As I've mentioned before - Senator Ted Stevens (Republican oil-company shill from Alaska) likes to wear his Incredible Hulk tie (pic here) when he knows he's going to get into a fight on the Senate floor.

As you've probably heard by now, Teddy got his ass kicked recently when he went up against Washington State Senator Maria Cantwell (he held a Defense appropriations bill hostage by attaching a provision that would open drilling in ANWR - and Cantwell wasn't having any of that). Needless to say, Maria gained even more respect from me when I read this:

...Washington's Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell, had found an Incredible Hulk tie in the Senate cloakroom the previous night and donned it while she worked the phones to round up anti-drilling votes.

Gotta love that!
